It was a dark and stormy night.....
Snoopy always started his stories like that. And why the heck not? It's a great line and sets the mood for an interesting and amazing story.
So, why did I choose writing? More appropriately, why not choose writing? It's like the coolest job ever. Actually, it's not even a job...it's just good times all around. Like Prince partying like it's 1999.
I started many moons ago....when I was 5...I think it was 5.... I do remember a time when I was writing stories in elementary school and posting them to my desk. AND the teacher didn't even tell me to.
Then there was a time when I put the writing thing on the backburner to pursue a career in psychology. What's up with that? Writing (and reading) is way more cathartic than lying on a leather couch....hands down!
When I went back to writing, and told my friends, they said, "You've always liked writing." Why didn't someone tell me a long time ago?!
Now, here I am, years later...with a number of books under my belt, and many more to come.
What's next on the list? More Than This and If You Leave. More to come on these two amazing books!
